Howdy Friends!
Howdy Friends!
My third and most recent appearance on the long running, nationally syndicated Texas music television show (not full episode)
w/ Heath Childs, Kevin Higgins, John Arthur Martinez, and Mike Ethan Messick
Written by Kent Finlay, and recorded in the Terlingua Ghost Town Cemetery, among the final resting places of those mentioned in the story.
A little something fun, and the 1st radio single from Old Scars & Sandbars
Vulture Tree was a fun, fast and dirty little rocker we later recorded on the "live" half of Alive and Well, rel. 2013.
The sound isn't great, but a very cool multi-camera video from one of Texas' most legendary and revered listening rooms.
Playing in this band was pretty much always so easy and fun. This was at the Alive & Well release party, and a live version of this song is on there, as well.
A song that has not made its way onto a record, but one that often opens the shows.
A sadly long gone cool Austin stage. One of my all-time favorite tunes.
And all these years later, Trace and I are still performing together.
With apologies to the Wylie Llama, a little rocked up version of the iconic RWH tune. RIP To my dear friend Nancy Morgan, and her beloved GiddyUps Saloon. Both will be deeply missed.
